Nadia Vaeh’s journey, upbringing, and an assortment of world travels have brought her to this point. Her brand new single Spell Binding is likely to stand forever as a key turning point in the singer/songwriter’s life thanks to the resounding way it announces her arrival to the music world.

Spell Binding sees Nadia Vaeh open a new chapter. Those who have been fans of Nadia for a while will remember her take on the single Anxiety which had something of an orchestrated quality, bubbling with a modern sheen. Nadia is a pop performer with  substance who’s worth watching and hearing whenever you can.

In the new single “Spell Binding” she combines traditional sounds with new skool music in dramatic, ear-catching ways. The production style brings the song’s synths and keyboards into total sympathy with the song and likewise threading its way through the track. The song often has a rousing, intensely emotional bent and the musical peaks that come along the way are perfectly built up to and integrate the various elements at her disposal in a seamless, highly musical way. Nadia obviously arrived early at a vision for this song – it has an ideal running time and manages to pack a world of musical experiences into its relatively brief duration without ever sounding rushed or cluttered.

Her vocals are adept for facing down any challenge that comes along. She really makes great drama out of the song’s lightly ironic twist and brings an appealing combination of grit and melodicism to play delivering the song’s lyrics. Much like the arrangement, Nadia’s lyrics never waste a word or any of the listener’s time and hit upon an accessible, conversational tone without ever dumbing down the adult subject matter.

The possible breadth of this song’s appeal is immense. Listeners old and young alike will find some basis to relate to Nadia’s lyrics or else understand the enormity of the experience. One does not write songs about buying groceries – these are works of art in miniature and aim to depict impactful events and feelings in our lives.

There’s little doubt that this is a singer and songwriter with the desire to make music her life and career; many do, but not everyone has the talent and intangibles in enough supply to make it work.  Nadia is working at a higher level than many of her contemporaries and this release makes that observation undeniable.

We decided to catch up with Nadia Vaeh for an interview…

What inspired you to get into music?
Music in itself and studying poetry and song lyrics in my room as a kid.

How would you describe your music?
A reflection of where I was at or my view on the world when I was writing. Honest, emotive, and increasingly vulnerable with each song!

What would you say is your recording and songwriting style?
It varies! I am not a particularly methodical person. I tend to flow in my feelings quite a bit. (If you’re into astrology, I’d like to thank my Pisces moon for all the feels. lol)  I record vocals on the days I feel most connected and balanced in my body and I tend to write when I feel out of control. It’s all therapy for me!

Where would you like to see your music career in 5 years’ time?
I would like to see my career sustaining a healthy life-style (lavish, not needed!) and just being able to continuously create and release the art I make with the people I love. I would like to see my music lending to others’ stories and art as well; film, television, dance, etc. I want to be traveling and seeing the world, performing with my friends, and helping my friends and family that have supported me in various ways, achieve some of THEIR dreams.

Where can music fans listen to your music?
